Gap and DVF Launch Children's Line

Legendary womenswear designer Diane Von Furstenburg will be releasing a children's collection for Gap, set to hit US stores and online March 15.  The girl's collection, ranging from $20-$85, includes a full wardrobe for daughters to match the overall style and fashion sense of the leading women in their lives.  The printed pants have got to be the best piece of the collection; just beware of over styling - you don't want to make your toddler look too grown for her own good! Since I am expecting a niece in the next couple weeks, I have become that much more excited that I can buy her very first DVF wrap skirt from Gap before she can even wear it! Check out the top looks from the DVF for GapKids Lookbook below:

Obama Campaign Movie Trailer Premiere

This morning, the Obama Campaign released a trailer to the seventeen-minute film, "The Road We've Traveled," that documents the first four years of the Obama presidency.  The film, narrated by Tom Hanks, and directed by Academy Award Winner David Guggenheim, has such a rich cinematic quality to it, that I thought it was a victorious version of the HBO movie "Game Change" which depicts Sarah Palin's VP journey.  Its no question that a quality production like this has a hefty budget attached to it; a point that may go far with Republicans and could pose an impression that the Obama campaign is overspending on unnecessary tactics.  The question is, how far and how long will that point last during the 2012 Campaign?  I think that the Obama campaign has always been cutting-edge, and in touch with pop-culture; our generation responds well to aesthetics, so while anti-Obama camps could make noise about it, the noise won't last too long.  The full mini-film premieres on March 15 - be sure to check it out!

Olsen Twins Cover Elle UK Magazine

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen grace the cover the April 2012 issue of British Elle Magazine.  The child stars who have turned into very successful fashion influencers and designers, have two very different covers for the magazine.  They both seem a bit awkward, but that definitely coincides with the quirky, unique personas they both possess.
