He's Good Enough... He's Smart Enough.. and Doggone It... People Like Him!
Al Franken, the SNL comedian who made the aforementioned slogan famous (Stuart Smalley) back in the 90's, has been projected as the winner of the long Minnesota Senate race. Due to the recount by the Minnesota Canvasing Board, Franken edged out opponent Norm Coleman by 225 votes. CNN reports that Republican Norm Coleman plans to challenge the decision, alleging that 650 votes absentee ballots were overlooked during this recount.
Looks like we need to get Blagojevich over to Minnesota to bully the system and pick the Senator just like he did in Illinois...
