Inauguration 2009: Inaugural Fashion

Michelle Obama wore a green suit with Petticoat by Isabelle Toledo. The outfit was more traditional than I thought First lady Obama would wear, especially since she has been trailblazing against the traditional looks of First Ladies. The lace detailing and embroidering was impeccable and executed very well, but it looked to matronly for me. And the fact that it looked like a suit totally goes against what I thought she stood for in the line of fashion.
One thing I loved the most was those olive green gloves! I'm such a glove fanatic nowadays.

Hands down, the best looking ladies at the Inauguration were Sasha and Malia Obama. Malia's coat was Bananas.. I didn't think they made coats like that for little girls, but I guess anything can and will be made for the First Children.

At the luncheon following the swearing in, I caught a glimpse of Cindy McCain... She was my favorite during the campaign trail, and she wore this blue coat, similar in color to the suit she wore during the RNC that took my breath away.
