Cindy McCain was spotted at the Oscar de la Renta showroom in New York on Tuesday. I'm hoping that she won't have the chance this time to become the first lady (Obama '08) but this makes me wonder how easy it is for a woman (or man) in the political limelight to shop in public. Even as a potential first lady, I would think that she is waaaaay too popular (for now anyway, Obama'08)to be out shopping, no matter how upscale the Oscar showroom is...
