Obama Will go With or Without You!

May possibly become

Yesterday in a press conference, Senator John McCain addressed the economic crisis and the $700Billion bailout plan. McCain praised himself for calling for a bipartisan meeting to come to a resolution of how the current plan, proposed under the Bush administration, should be revised. It was at this press conference that he announced he would stop his campaigning in order to focus solely on coming to this new resolution. He also asked for Obama to join him, and to delay the Presidential debate scheduled for Friday @ 9pm.

Obama, while agreed to the need for a bipartisan meeting, gave a classic Palin-esque "Thanks, but no thanks" to McCain's request to stop the campaign. Obama believes that while it is important to quickly come to a resolution for the bailout plan, it is equally as important for the public, his future constituents, to be able to question his plans for the future of the economy. Obama also stated that the President will have to deal with many issues on a daily basis and extensive multi-tasking is an essential part of the Presidency.

So, as of now, with or without McCain, Obama will be in Mississippi at 9pm, and will address the questions given to him. McCain will most likely participate if the bailout resolution is successful before 9pm tomorrow.

My thoughts on McCain's reasoning? Well, I know that McCain has a "hero" mentality, in which he always feels the need to save the day and come to the rescue at times of distress. I also know that his campaign has been very weak over the past 7 days, and McCain needs to take a step back and recollect himself. The meetings of the treasury began early this morning, yet McCain doesn't plan to arrive until close to noon. So, how dedicated are you to this resolution? It doesn't seem that a complete closedown of your campaign really affects your time of dedication. Furthermore, I dont think McCain is ready to debate with Obama.. all this time of McCain complaining that Obama wouldn't meet him at townhall meetings, and now he gets his moment and he bails out?? Ridiculous! And what makes this even worse for McCain is that he can't change his mind and attend the debate, because it will passively be guilty plea to an unwise decision. If you have to shut everything down just to focus on the economy, how will you be able to deal with healthcare, energy, homeland security, education, welfare, foreign affairs, AND the economy at the same time as President? Bad move for Johnny boy...
