The FiFi awards, an evening of honoring those in the Beauty and Fragrance industry, occurred last night at the Armory in New York. Among those in attendance were Diddy, Queen Latifah, and Mary J Blige.
Mary J Blige is normally safe when it comes to wearing gowns for events; opting for gowns that are bold in color and regal in effect. She is always right on point with color and structure. This time, she decides to go with a flowy floral printed dress, which does nothing for her body, nor her hair and complexion. The floral print is very dull, and the black only adds to the confusion. She looks great from shoulders up, however. What do you think?
While I am not a fan of floral dresses, I think her upper body looks great. The black against her sun kissed skin looks good, and I like the peek a boo hole. But as for the bottom of the dress, you are right on point, its not cute!
ReplyDeletei think she looks very attractive in the dress. i may have a different opinion if i saw her moving in the dress. that can make a difference. but as a still shot, i think she looks very good. a little softer and more sophisticated than what she typically wears, although i do like a lot of her choices. it's always interesting to see then-and-now photos of stars polished stylistically over time, from mary j. to queen latifah.
