Rick Sanchez Fired from CNN - Is This a Conspiracy?

I came home tonight to learn that Rick Sanchez was fired from CNN! This came after comments made by Sanchez on the radio, calling Jon Stewart a bigot, and questioned whether Jewish people should be considered minorities. He also said that many of the people at CNN were "a lot like Stewart," implying that CNN is controlled by Jewish individuals.

Sanchez's Thoughts on Jon Stewart:
"I think Jon's show is essentially prejudicial ... against anybody who doesn't agree to his point of view, which is very much a white, Liberal establishment point of view. He can't relate to a guy like me, he can't relate to a guy whose dad worked all his life. He can't relate to somebody who grew up poor"

In response to Jewish people being minorities:
"Yeah, very powerless people. [laughs] He's such a minority. I mean, you know, please. What are you kidding? I'm telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart. And to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority?"

This comes only days before Rick's primetime show was to be replaced by the new show Parker and Spitzer (yep, the former NY Governor that was caught cheating on his wife). Was CNN looking for a way to get rid of Sanchez anyway? Could Sanchez be on to something about racism in journalism? Conspiracy....
