It's no longer a surprise, but Catherine Middleton wore a dress designed by Sarah Burton. Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen, created a look that is initially simple, but after first glance one can appreciate the truth craftsmanship and detail. The dress was an ivory and white gazar pleated dress with handmade lace applique, and a nine foot train. The silhouette was fitting and created an amazing waistline, and the Cartier tiara complimented the look with Royal ease.
Many may think the dress is not as fashion forward as one would want, but we have to remember that Catherine is now a public figure of history. This dress will be photographed and remembered for generations to come, so the dress needs to be able to stand the test of time.
