2008 ESPY Awards: Fashion Recap

The ESPY awards premiered on ESPN Sunday night, and my boy Justin Timberlake was the host. The Disney Channel should be thanked for prepping this young man into the entertaining phenom he has become! Besides, JT tearing up the stage, and Will Ferrell's acceptance speech for Tiger Woods, I was really touched and educated when the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage was awarded to 1968 Olympic Gold and Bronze medalists Tommie Smith and John Carlos. I have seen the shirts and and pics of that famous pose with on the medal stand with their fists in the air, but I never knew the history behind it. OK, enough of me crying... Lets get to the fashion. Athletes, I understand that fashion may not compliment your body type, but uh that's what money and tailors are for.. And now I begin with my fashion faves.

Venus Williams - This is the best that I have seen Venus! Fresh off of that Wimbledon championship, Miss Williams is shining like a star! 100 points for her hair! Ashanti - Although her outfit looks more like something to wear on a cruise, I have to give her some points for looking decent and natural. Much Much better than that fashion fiasco from the BET awards.

Kate Walsh - WOW, you look great. The dress is nice, but Kate just has that appeal about her.

David Beckham - Always fresh, always stylish. I love how he breaks the colors up so modestly. Look closely and you can see that he has on a white vest on top of that crisp white shirt. Very smart Becks! Your bride doesn't look that bad, but she is pretty whack with those shades on.

OK... now for those who could have done better...

Samuel L. Jackson - OK, seriously? What in the world do you have on? Is this Sam Jackson, or Blossom??
Candace Parker - Candace is beautiful! Her face is great. But this is a bad choice of dress for her. Her shoulders are too broad, and the chest shows how muscular she is. You know when girls have pecs? It puts way too much attention to that. She is still fine though, can't argue with that. Shaun Phillips - A whole silk suit? And, the pants are too long and are bunching up at the bottom?

What is Wrong with your Hair? No me comprende su pelo! - Awards...

Danica Patrick - I just don't get it... Did you have a race before the awards?

Brendan Fraser - You could have worn a mean Fidora and called it a night.
