Verizon, and its European/Latin American/Asian counterpart Vodafone announced its exclusive releases of the new RIM Blackberry Storm. The new Blackberry will be the first of RIM's devices with touchscreen capability. This is the first time I actually looked at images of the Storm, and I am a bit cautious about the Storm. I initially thought that the screen would be touchscreen, but that the Storm would still have the popular and highly regarding easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard as the previous Blackberries.... But the Storm will be a full touchscreen in which the keypad similar to that of the iPhone and Instinct. This worries alot of the critics as well because most companies and businessmen who rely on email to conduct business aren't normally fans of full touchscreens. RIM claims that their keypad will function the same as their original keyboards, but time will tell.
No official word on the release date, but expect to see it later this fall...
