Speaking of Colin Powell...
The former Secretary of State, and the present endorser of the future President Barack Obama, was at the London edition of the Africa Rising Festival that celebrates African fashion and music. Earlier this year, I went to the first ever American edition of this festival at the Kennedy Center at which John legend and Jay - Z performed, and it was great! Not to mention I got to see Alek Wek and Liya Kabede strut the runway in some of the hottest fashions from African designers.
Here, Colin Powell is seen on stage with Nigerian music group Olu Maintain. I can only imagine from the shot that Powell is JAMMIN' to whatever song is being performed! Now that's how you dance if you want to be in politics! He is Jamaican, so naturally the rhythm is gonna get him!
Fashion + Politics + Pop Culture + Music? Sounds like Avenue Swank to me!
