Fashion Critic, Mr. Blackwell, Dies at age 86

One of the most reputable fashion critics, died Sunday at the age of 86. Mr. Blackwell was known for his catch phrases to describe the hits and misses of celebrity style. New York Mag cited a few, which included calling Camilla Parker-Bowles the "Duchess of Dowdy" and Barbra Streisand a "Masculine Bride of Frankenstein." Of Björk, he said, "She dances in the dark — and dresses there, too."

In honor of him, I will describe two of least-favorites on the red carpet, Lil Mama and Solange, in true Blackwell fashion..

Solange - "She makes ostriches look like fashionistas" ~ Q. D. Washington
