Runway Review: Edition by Georges Chakra

Edition by Georges Chakra was an amazing play on structure and elegance; mixing masculine cuts with feminine silhouettes. The key colors of the collection were Red, Copper and Black, and the key materials ranged from crepe, to satins and tweeds. My favorite looks all had dramatic back detailing with different cuts and accents. Chakra also included reversible tuxedo gowns which added structure and weight to the backs of the dresses, yet the lace detailing kept the look airy and feminine.

My favorite look was the black chiffon gown with crisscrossed tulle bodice and copper satin trench. The lightweight satin material for the trench allowed it to flow with the chiffon of the dress, adding depth to the overall silhouette.

The last look was an amazing silver lattice tufted brocade gown with a red hemline. Again, with the leather gloves, the look adopted an edgy feel while keeping its pure elegance.
