There is no question that Douglas Hannant picked the best location for his Fall 2011 runway show. Presenting his collection at the Plaza hotel was fitting, as his collection was beautifully saturated with the glamour and luxury of New York's Fifth Avenue. Using spotlights and the sultry jazz sounds of Nina Simone, the production of the show put spectators in the old New York state of mind; the appreciation of art and the understanding of dress code for all occasions. The collection had a mix of tweed, herringbone, and Fall/Winter's must-have of fur, creating a polished, sophisticated look for the established woman.
