Today was the official day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for Spring 2010, and the trends have already begun! From the looks of BCBG to the creations of Whitney Eve, the collections, though different, carried a theme that can be translated into a seasonal trend for Spring/Summer 2010. Here is my list of trends that I found to be an important part of what Spring 2010 will entail...
Trend 1: Mutli-colored Geometric Prints - Hexagons, Triangles, Starbursts.. you name it, the shape was on the runway!
Trend 2: Beading - BCBG did this best with their subtle beading detail in the backs of their dresses (Photo from Style)
Trend 3: Turquoise - This was definitely the bold color of choice for those designers looking to give a little "Pop" to a certain piece
Trend 4: Braiding - from braided straps, to using braids as piping - this added accent gave each look an edgy, yet refined feel.
Trend 5: Gray - YES!! My favorite color for any season - and I think each designer agreed with me!
