Kobe Bryant - Is That You? LA Times Article/ Photo Shoot

OK I really didn't want to believe these photos - but they have been confirmed..

When many of us think of Kobe Bryant, we think of a few things, and they all pertain to basketball. Whether you think he will have the same legacy as Jordan, or if you find him to be arrogant and lucky, your thoughts are always basketball-based. I don't think many of you would find him to be a model muse, and these photos from LA Times won't help either!

The spread is for a LA Times article spread called "White Hot" which portrays Kobe in a very vulnerable, yet extremely awkward way. Some don't even look like him! This is why I first thought these were doctored pics, but thats what an all white outfit, background and photoshop can do..

I'm interested in your comments! What does Kobe look like to you? A curious cowboy? A dainty desert eagle? LOL, you decide!

To read the article, which was conducted during Kobe Bryant's manicure and makeup session for the photo shoot (seriously), check out LA Times here.

Photo Spread: Nomad's Land by Tomaas

Here are photos from the ten page editorial spread, "Nomad's Land", which has been featured in the latest issue of Push It Magazine and Disfunkshion Mag. I'm loving the hair in this spread; it's such a work of art!

What's a Diva Again?

First off, the "shades" from Beyonce's Diva video are the most impractical pieces of eyewear ever that no female should be caught wearing these (even though I know several occasions in which ladies have done this). But, to have a man in a photo spread with these on is almost just as wrong as someone wearing these in real life.
Here is a shot of Sean Opry from the L'Officiel Hommes. I guess it's true that fashion has no boundaries...

Obama's Official Presidential Portrait

The Office of President Elect Barack Obama released the official Presidential Portrait today. The portrait was taken by White House Photographer Pete Souza, and marks the first time that the Presidential Portrait was taken using a digital camera.

This story comes a week after The Smithsonian announced their acquirement of the red, white and blue Obama collage that became the most popular artwork of Obama during his campaign. The Museum states that the Collage will be displayed in the US National Portrait Gallery. If you don't want to see it at the gallery, you are sure to find over a million people wearing one of these Obama T-Shirts on Inaguration Day.

Cindy Crawford Photo Spread

Cindy Crawford hasn't put her beauty mark back in the campaign ads like her peers, but she still does some work in the fashion world. Here is one of her newest photo spreads, shot by celebrity photographer Tony Duran.

August 2008 French Vogue

This shot is so ridiculous. The model's pose is ridiculous, the outfit is well put together, and the over shot is out of this world! I can't wait to get my photog game up! Thanks Indie for the spread!

Photography: Obama and Lincoln Fused Together

I saw this and had to share it with you! This is a visual masterpiece by artist Ron English, in which he painted a fusion of Abraham Lincoln and Barack Obama. His creation was debuted in Boston and are a part of a political exhibit in Gallery XII. A little bit of irony is evident in this piece of work, because Barack announced his intention to run for President in Springfield, IL, which is Lincoln's birthplace.

Sex and the City Goes Vogue

Most of you ladies (and consequently some of you men) have gone to see SATC by now, and by now you have already dreamed of what outfits you would like to take from the production. Here are a couple prints from the June issue of Vogue that feature Sara Jessica Parker and Mr. Big himself. I really like the shot of him with the LV bags.

Vogue and The Potential First Ladies

Finally, both of our potential first lady's have graced the spreads of Vogue magazine, being photographed by none other than Annie Leibovitz. They both have different tones about them... Michelle's photo seems as if they are portraying a sense of power, although I'm not sure if I like the fact that they took a photo of her with no eye contact. To me it shows a sense of her not being personable, which is totally untrue. Cindy McCain's picture portrays a woman at peace... which may have been staged since she is the wife of an "uptight conservative republican." Who knows.. Just so you know, Bill Clinton hasn't had his "First Man" Vogue spread yet, but if he does, I will keep you posted.

On another note, Barack will be on the cover of the June 2008 issue of Esquire Mag. This guy just eats up a chance to be on the cover of a magazine... I love it!

We Made Holly and Supermodel!

I found some photos of Holly, the winner of Bravo TV's Make Me a Supermodel. I think she was deserving of the title. She's edgy, fashion forward, and from Virginia! Yep look closely, both pics are Holly...

Esquire Magazine Celebrates 75 Years

One of my favorite magazines, Esquire, unveiled its new exhibit in Milan to celebrate the magazine's 75th anniversary. The "iconic" covers from over the past 75 years have been recreated using some of our age's fashion icons. Featured are icons such as Donatella Versace, Tommy Hilfiger and Gorgio Armani.

Claudia is Back!

You may have seen my article about Naomi and the Louis Vuitton Campaign Ad, featuring Claudia Schaffer. Now, I thought that Claudia made a comeback just for that campaign, but behold, she is gracing the cover of German Vogue magazine's June 2008 issue. I didn't know Germany was so bold with their magazine covers... but hey, Vogue has indeed been bit naughty lately (Eva Mendes in Italian Vogue).
